Seán Sherlock: I am considering introducing amendments to Part 17 on Report Stage to provide for an unrestricted right to appoint a proxy in accordance with Directive 2007/36/EC and introducing a new section to this part. Section 230 of the 1990 Act has been omitted from the Bill but should be included. The section relates to the duty of the Stock Exchange in respect of unlawful purchases.
