Shane Ross: We are in fairly constant communication with the RSA and the Garda and all those groups in respect of these issues. The consultation was carried out with all key stakeholders. There was consultation with the Department of Justice, the Road Safety Authority, the Garda Síochána and it was raised at the high level group. All those people have been consulted.

We have representatives of rural communities here who put their points of view, we have had Deputies examine it and at this stage it has not yet made it to the Dáil.
