This committee was quite involved in the pre-legislative stage of this Bill and Members were very happy to have had that opportunity. I believe it was very useful for the Department as well as the Select Committee and the general public to have that engagement.

David Stanton: I am bringing this up because it involves the issue of portability of information. If someone already has clearance in an area, it might be important the organisation he or she is working with is made aware of Garda concerns through the vetting bureau. Would it be possible to examine that before Report Stage?
