I accept a rural hackney licence has been brought in but the reason for that is because the NTA will simply not change the knowledge test to allow a person to be tested on the area in which they cover rather than the overall county from which they come.

More than 240 applications have been made for foreshore licences, some of which take up to five years to be determined. As the Taoiseach is aware, many of these applications involve job creation measures for coastal communities and ports.
