Hildegarde Naughton: The amount estimated to be allocated to RTE was €185 million. Is that not so? Up to last June, 46% of that amount was spent. That was the question. I call Senator McDowell if he has a question.

Hildegarde Naughton: The overarching question concerns grant aid for RTE. There was a shortfall in that grant aid in 2014 and 2015, and it looks like that may also be the case in 2016. Does the Department feel there could be an adverse effect on the provision of public service broadcasting? I would like to get the Minister's views on that.
