Hildegarde Naughton: I thank Deputy Burke for her presentation. I have two questions, one of which is on using the metric of life expectancy. Japan and Singapore have higher rates of life expectancy, but on the suitability of using that metric when we discuss health inequalities, is it accurate? Is it a useful tool? Also,...
- Select Committee on the Future of Healthcare: Inequality in Access to Health Care: Discussion (5 Oct 2016)
Hildegarde Naughton: Yes. I read the Harvard study, which examined race, ethnicity and poverty in terms of having an effect on whether people were well or had ill health. Hildegarde Naughton: I thank the Minister. I have one question on the national broadband plan. Some €7.5 million has been allocated in 2016 for next generation broadband services.
