Michael Harty: There are many magnet hospitals around the world, such as the Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins, Great Ormond Street and Toronto children's hospital. I presume that the national children's hospital will promote itself as a magnet hospital where, instead of having to go and look for people, it will receive unsolicited applications to work in a state-of-the-art hospital.
