Matt Carthy: The numbers are limited and there will always be some outside the agri-environmental scheme. Does Mr. Callanan see any measures being put in place to prevent or at least dissuade the ripping out of existing hedgerows on non-participating farms? Will there be some supports for farmers who are in a position to expand hedgerows outside the scheme?
