Reading this, one would never have imagined that, as far back as 2008, which was seven years prior, Mr. Culhane had recognised the need for the Department and others, not least the Comptroller and Auditor General, to be informed of the matters that had been uncovered at Templemore. In fact, this letter reads as being hostile to Mr. Ruane or any form...

Mary Lou McDonald: That is not how Mr. Culhane's letter reads. I do not know how it could be read in any other way but as being hostile to the notion of a section 41 disclosure to the Minister. That is how it reads.
