Graffiti Removal Operation. (23 Nov 2006)

John Gormley: I thank the Chair for giving me the opportunity to raise once again the ever increasing problem of graffiti in our city. At the beginning of the summer I raised this issue in the hope that the Government would take action to deal with it. Sadly, very little has been done and the complaints from constituents about this issue continue. It seems this Government, consisting of Fianna Fáil and...

Overseas Development Aid. (23 Nov 2006)

John Gormley: Does the Minister of State agree that Self Help is doing outstanding work in Uganda, Ethiopia and elsewhere? I assume this is the reason that he initially accepted the organisation into the multiannual funding programme. Will he explain why its funding has now been cut?

Overseas Development Aid. (23 Nov 2006)

Will he renew the funding for this organisation?

Military Neutrality. (23 Nov 2006)

John Gormley: The Minister started by trotting out the usual rubbish about this being long-standing policy. It is not a long-standing policy. I remind him that in the Horgan case, Mr. John Rogers, SC, made it very clear that between 1945 and 1991 successive Irish Governments imposed very strict limitations on the use of Irish territory, even in peacetime. It allowed US troops transit on Irish territory...
