Cian O'Callaghan: You are underfunding them. Why are we not at Istanbul Convention levels? Why not? You, as the Minister for Finance, and the entire Government should ensure that we have sufficient funding for enough refuge spaces so that no one is turned away. We are way below the amount of funding that we need and you know that. I recognise serious work has been done in this area by the Government.

The Government is making a choice to underfund domestic violence refuges and needs to fund them properly so we meet our obligations and meet the need that is there.
