Terry Leyden: Mr. Paddy O'Toole, a Minister at the time, paid the price in Ballina, and Senator Jim Higgins, now an MEP, was rewarded with a seat in Leinster House. The decision had many repercussions. When I attended the rebranding of the airport, there was a great feeling of satisfaction from Fianna Fáil in that the party was part of this particular history.
