To follow up on a point made by Deputy Ó Laoghaire, Digital Rights Ireland last week said that the scheme as presented will inevitably end up in the courts and be appealed. Do the witnesses wish to reiterate that they feel the scheme as presented, if enacted, would not be permissible according to EU law?

Which approach would the witness prefer to see?
