Darren O'Rourke: I will revisit the delay in the roll-out of the new fare structure. What are the practical implications of that? Does it only apply to rail services? Is the issue unique to Irish Rail? Is the phased roll-out still on course for other areas, such as bus services in Navan and elsewhere in County Meath?

Darren O'Rourke: I suggest the NTA could and should have engaged with Irish Rail earlier. It should have let people know earlier and should have had a clearer timeline for the roll-out of this.

Darren O'Rourke: I have not finished. Mr. Ryan stated the NTA would like to roll them out together. I am sure it would. I am sure the customers who use public transport every day would like to see them rolled out separately, because they will benefit from them. That benefit has now been delayed and will not be delivered in the timeframe that was committed to.
