Seán Fleming: I want to put a few questions to follow through on a few points that were made. Deputy Connolly touched on it earlier that decades ago all of the public housing was provided by local authorities. What is the need for the AHBs? Why are the local authorities not doing it? Why are the AHBs here and why do they exist?

Seán Fleming: I am asking the big question because in every local authority in Ireland this question gets asked every time they have a housing plan. It is all being done by the AHBs and local authorities are getting no look at building the houses and they have the proven track record for decades.
