David Stanton: I noticed that Cork University Hospital had a green flag the other day, which I believe was for waste or something. The competition to see which is the best Garda station in the country to save energy year on year might be something worthwhile.

David Stanton: Has there been any scientific analysis of the optimum number of gardaí? When we were in Scotland, we were asked from where the numbers came. How many gardaí do we really need? Who knows - we may need fewer or more.
