Dick Roche: The Ring Helvic water supply scheme is included in my Department's water services investment programme 2004-06 as a scheme to start in 2005. I understand that revised preliminary report for the scheme is currently being prepared by Waterford County Council for submission to my Department.

Dick Roche: My Department has received a request to consider the designation of Newcastle Lough, Kells, County Meath, as a natural heritage area under the Wildlife Acts. My Department is currently arranging for an ecological survey and-or assessment of the site to be carried out. Dick Roche: Section 70 of the Roads Act 1993 obliges landowners and occupiers of land to take all reasonable care to ensure that hedges growing on their land are not, or could not become, a danger to people using or working on a public road.
