IDA Ireland - Financial Statement 2013
Enterprise Ireland - Financial Statement 2013 (12 Feb 2015) Patrick O'Donovan: No. In regard to the regional development strategy, the IDA announced yesterday the initial tranche of larger urban centres. There is a substantial tier of towns in the population category of 1,500 to 7,000 underneath that. Mr. Shanahan told Deputy John Deasy that he was open to suggestions from local authorities. Is he open to suggestions now or will authorities have to wait until 2017?...

IDA Ireland - Financial Statement 2013
Enterprise Ireland - Financial Statement 2013 (12 Feb 2015) Patrick O'Donovan: I have a feeling that our region is disadvantaged compared to other regions by virtue of how the land is owned. It is no slur on the airport. It must run its business and make a commercial return. However, if there is a site for sale in Mallow in County Cork versus one for sale in Newcastle West and one is considerably more expensive than the other, there is an obvious attractiveness...

- Committee on Transport and Communications: Select Sub-Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: Roads Bill 2014: Committee Stage (5 Feb 2015)
Patrick O'Donovan: While I agree that it cannot be called the National Roads Authority, if it is going to have a function in respect of rail we should be careful in the context of branding and ensure that there is not some sort of elaborate scheme launched in order to come up with a name and a logo.
- Committee on Transport and Communications: Select Sub-Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: Roads Bill 2014: Committee Stage (5 Feb 2015)

- Public Accounts Committee: Business of Committee (5 Feb 2015)
Patrick O'Donovan: The last time we had the Higher Education Authority in here was only a fortnight ago. Its responses in relation to what it is doing with State money, and any degree of oversight it has in that regard, were appalling. This seems to be another example of that. I think this is an opportunity to have representatives of the authority in on their own to explain what they actually do, if that...
