I structured the motion in that way in order that there would be unanimity on it. I did make an effort to try to include language in the motion that would satisfy everybody, including Government members.

Timmy Dooley: Let us pass the motion by acclamation and forward it for the consideration of the Government and the Department of Finance so that the next day, rather than receiving another letter, we have a response to a decision that was taken. A letter by way of a motion weakens what we are looking for. It weakens the committee's resolution.

Timmy Dooley: I wish the National Transport Authority well in its efforts. It is evident that there is considerable support on the Government side for it. I have no doubt it will see an enhanced and increased budget coming forward at the end of the year to ensure it will be in a position to deliver on this watershed.
