Imelda Munster: A final decision has not been made but there was a finding and the companies have been fined €200 million. Is Mr. Moloney concerned that such companies are applying for PPP contracts in this State and about the problems that would arise? Was there an investigation into contracts that these companies had applied for? At the time, it was said these companies had colluded and met on a...

Imelda Munster: I understand that but I am asking whether there were similarities here with what happened in Spain, where several companies were involved in a contract and then all of them, bar one, withdrew and the company that was left was awarded the contract. An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business (14 Nov 2023)

Imelda Munster: I am looking for time to be set aside to discuss RTÉ's strategic plan. RTÉ workers heard about job cuts in the region of up to 400 jobs and they heard this from leaks to the media which is shameful in itself. The Government needs to come in and outline its plan for RTÉ. I understand the director general met with staff this morning and the information was quite sparse....

Ceisteanna ar Pholasaí nó ar Reachtaíocht - Questions on Policy or Legislation (8 Nov 2023)

Imelda Munster: I would not normally raise an issue such as this and would deal with them myself but I have been left with no option. This is something that is very serious indeed for the residents involved. A section of Cearnóg Brugha in Drogheda and surrounding areas has been left with no water. They are mostly elderly residents but there is also one family with a young baby. As they have a...

Housing: Motion [Private Members] (7 Nov 2023)

Imelda Munster: As the housing crisis deepens, we are all aware Fine Gael has been in government for 12 years and has been propped up by the Minister and Fianna Fáil for seven of those. In every one of those years, the housing crisis has worsened. Under the Government, house prices have increased by €70,000 and rents have increased by just under €4,000 per year on average. Homelessness...

(26 Oct 2023)

Imelda Munster: I raised applications with Mr. Doyle the last time he was here. Negotiations are ongoing. In particular, I raised the issue of Louth local authority's scandalous waiting list for people who are seriously ill and who are waiting for wet rooms, stair lifts and so forth and that those waiting lists were carried year to year so people who were seriously ill had to wait years to get the basic...
