When we concluded the last day, Senator McDowell was on his third contribution and was in possession, so I invite him to continue on No. 85b before I return to the Minister.

Gerry Horkan: Much as I may not have wanted to listen, I was listening when Senator McDowell used the term "We beat the vintners". I do not think I saw the Minister, Deputy Ross, go out and physically beat vintners either. I presume Senator McDowell's inference was that he won his row with the vintners.

Gerry Horkan: At the start I suggested that Senator McDowell has spoken three times on this amendment and he had possession of it the last time. The difficulty is that he was referring to the comments of the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Deputy Ross, which relate to amendment No. 85b.
