- Joint Oireachtas Committee On Key Issues Affecting The Traveller Community: Traveller Health: Discussion (Resumed) (5 Nov 2019)
Éamon Ó Cuív: The first question I have is to seek information. Some like to go to support workers of their own sex when seeking advice and so on. Are there many more women than men acting as Traveller-led support workers? I suspect so. Is it working better with women? Do we need to ensure more men are engaged as support workers to get men to engage? I do not know the answers; I am taking the...
- Joint Oireachtas Committee On Key Issues Affecting The Traveller Community: Traveller Health: Discussion (Resumed) (5 Nov 2019)
Éamon Ó Cuív: You just touched on an issue at the very end and that is that society can be patronising. I have noticed when one is talking about disadvantaged groups that they are often patronised as if they did not have the same latent intelligence that the rest of society has. In certain ways, I have often noticed that they would buy and sell the whole lot of us who are good at pushing pens. Therefore...

- Ceisteanna Eile - Other Questions: Rural Regeneration and Development Fund Expenditure (24 Oct 2019)
Éamon Ó Cuív: I was looking at some figures and it seems that after 9.5 months of this year, the Department has only spent approximately half its capital budget. I am curious as to whether the Minister will manage to spend the €52 million allocated to the RRDF or will he find some other way to spend the money? Both the Minister and I hate giving money back to the Exchequer.
- Ceisteanna Eile - Other Questions: Rural Regeneration and Development Fund Expenditure (24 Oct 2019)
Éamon Ó Cuív: I applaud the Minister for transferring the money to the LEADER programme and I am glad it is being spent well, even if it is late in the day for it to start. That still leaves €42 million in the fund, with €16 million spent. In approximately six or seven weeks, the Department must spend €26 million, so is the Minister still confident the funding will be drawn down by...
- Ceisteanna Eile - Other Questions: Rural Regeneration and Development Fund Expenditure (24 Oct 2019)
Éamon Ó Cuív: I presume the Minister will get the same amount for the RRDF next year.
- Ceisteanna Eile - Other Questions: Rural Regeneration and Development Fund Expenditure (24 Oct 2019)
Éamon Ó Cuív: When will the next tranche of applications be approved? He has had them for some time. The quicker stuff gets out before the end of this year, the quicker people will be in getting started and the more likely it will be that money will not have to be shifted around towards the end of next year. When will the Minister announce the next tranche of projects under the RRDF? I refer to...

Éamon Ó Cuív: Tá áthas orm go bhfuil deis agam cúpla focal a rá faoin mBille Airgeadais. Caithfidh mé a rá nach bhfuil an oiread sin ann don ghnáthdhuine. Ba mhaith liom a laghad is atá sa Bhille a thaispeáint. Is féidir liom an lúcháir i measc na hoifigigh sa Roinn Airgeadais, nuair a fuair siad leithscéal gan rud ar bith a thabhairt do...

Will the Minister confirm whether she has calculated the difference between a 30-year total...
