Rónán Mullen: It is not a criminal statute. It is the Hippocratic oath. It is pretty ancient and has always been part of medical regulation. I do not understand why Dr. Crowe is saying it was somehow seen as out of keeping. One would have thought that it was medical ethics 101 that one would not participate in the direct killing of a patient.
