Colm Burke: They resigned so they obviously felt that progress was not being made, or would not be made, on the further steps that needed to be taken to implement Sláintecare. They did leave so they obviously felt frustrated. The Minister needs to clarify whether he was aware of that frustration and whether any action was taken to deal with that issue.

Colm Burke: I want to go back to the previous point. The Minister may not have been aware of the frustration felt by Professor Keane and Ms Magahy but were officials in his Department aware of it? This situation did not happen overnight. It was obviously an ongoing issue and Professor Keane and Ms Magahy came to the conclusion there was no point in staying on.
