- Topical Issue Debate: JobPath Implementation (1 Dec 2016)
Carol Nolan: I thank the Minister for his response but I am disappointed because there is a lack of clarity about what action will be taken by the Government on this issue. The Minister mentioned that there were 145 complaints but are people made aware of the mechanism for making complaints? Many people who came to me were not sure of that mechanism at all. Vote 26 - Education and Skills (Supplementary) (30 Nov 2016) Carol Nolan: I welcome the fact that the Minister said a top-up fund was available for schools and that 133 had availed of it. However, more is needed. Schools are under pressure, hours are being cut and secretaries and caretakers do a fantastic job which is often undervalued. They are absolutely vital in a school but schools have had to make choices. I would like this to be addressed more effectively.
