Timmy Dooley: Could legislation help to negate some of the cumbersome nature of the process? I take the point that the legislation can be challenged by the defendant and this has been addressed by Mr. Twomey. Could amending legislation help to make the process less cumbersome and avoid such issues arising as arose in the Kilrush case?
