Mary Coughlan: The legal costs Bill will be published this year while the legislation covering the â¬200 charge on second homes will be introduced in the next several weeks. Work on the consumer and competition legislation has not yet been completed. I have asked the Competition Authority to investigate the matter anyway.

Mary Coughlan: I intend to amend the Companies Act and will be bringing proposals in this regard to the Government shortly. The director has indicated he has adequate resources, both legislative and otherwise, in his office to deal with the present investigations.
