The Minister spoke about it being inappropriate for three agencies to be involved around the...

Holly Cairns: I thank the witnesses for coming before the committee. I will start with one question and come back in afterwards. If there is time for that, that would be great. - Joint Oireachtas Committee on Disability Matters: Progressing Disability Services Model and Withdrawal of Occupational Therapies from Schools: Engagement with HSE (13 May 2021)
Holly Cairns: Okay, I will follow up on that separately. Regarding the assessment of needs, the children's committee oversees some of disability matters as well and we had the Minister of State, Deputy Rabbitte, in recently, which was great. - Joint Oireachtas Committee on Disability Matters: Progressing Disability Services Model and Withdrawal of Occupational Therapies from Schools: Engagement with HSE (13 May 2021)
Holly Cairns: That makes complete sense. It makes sense that this would be more of a suggested guideline. It sounds like it is being misinterpreted in lots of instances in respect of the 90 minutes. Perhaps that wording along the lines of "shall take up to one to one and a half hours" is kind of misleading. We could look at changing that. I thank Ms O'Neill. I appreciate the response.
- Ceisteanna ar Reachtaíocht a Gealladh - Questions on Promised Legislation (12 May 2021)
Holly Cairns: When I asked the Taoiseach about planning on the site of a mass infant grave at Bessborough, he told me it was inappropriate for a member of Government to intervene on planning matters.
