Heather Humphreys: Benefit Payment for 65 year olds is a payment for people aged 65 who have ceased employment or self-employment and who satisfy the pay-related social insurance (PRSI) contribution conditions. At the end of April 2023, there were 4,076 recipients of Benefit Payment for 65 year olds. The estimated full year cost in 2023 will be circa €51.4 million.
