Mary Harney: Funding for sheltered housing is a matter for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. In the 2008 Budget the Health Services Executive (HSE) received an allocation of €1.1 million to fund a best practice initiative to support sheltered housing. No additional funding was allocated in 2009. As this is a service matter it has been referred to the HSE for direct reply.

The Health Service Executive (HSE) has written to the country's community pharmacy contractors to clarify whether they intend to continue the provision of services under the GMS and community drugs schemes.
