Gerry Adams: The Taoiseach could have done the same here. He is dishonest in claiming Uisce Éireann can tell householders how much they will pay for water in the next few years. His proposal brings us only to 2016, just in time for the commemoration of the Easter Rising, at which point the tax will increase. The Taoiseach knows this. These charges never decrease; they always increase.

People are angry at the imposition of one tax after another, which is completely contrary to the Government parties' election promises.
