The figure for non-compliance in respect of procurement is 80%. How is a decision made on large spending contracts? What oversight does the Department have?

Alan Dillon: From the public service and expenditure point of view, the Department is implementing electronic systems and that is something that should be happening across the board in all Departments. If there are any recommendations, and given the spend in the Department of Health, they need to be focused on governance, especially when the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform is allocating funding.
