Tom Fleming: A principal of a three or four-teacher school gets 16 days a year to carry out his administrative, managerial and leadership roles, which is totally inadequate. In the North, for example, a teaching principal in a primary school gets one day a week free of class teaching to do the work. We need to give some concessions on this side of the Border.
