Cian O'Callaghan: We are told on page 15 of the general scheme about the gender identity of the chair of the board. It will be "The Chairman of the Board of Irish Water". That is not acceptable. I appreciate mistakes can be made, but I would like a commitment that the Bill will use gender-inclusive language. If that cannot be given, fair enough, but that is what I seek.

Cian O'Callaghan: That is fair enough and I accept that. However, I point out in terms of gender-inclusive language that it is not an issue of simply putting in "he" and "she". The United Nations guidelines on this would need to be looked at. It is good that advice will be sought on this.
