Fidelma Healy Eames: I want to mention the issue of abuse by the financial institutions. Some 10% of the cases coming before the Financial Services Ombudsman, Mr. Joe Meade, are of uncaring, unthoughtful financial institutions selling unsuitable financial products to older persons, for example, the case of a 94 year old woman being sold a six-year bond.
