Shane Ross: This figure relates to spend in 2016 by the Irish Coast Guard (IRCG), a Division of my Department, on a fleet of Polaris All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs). An additional €376k was spent in 2017. These ATVs replaced older "Quads" following a risk assessment conducted based on actual usage by the IRCG and safety concerns arising from this.
