Ruairi Quinn: The person referred to by the Deputy while employed in a primary school was not a qualified teacher. The legislation in place at that time limited membership of the pension scheme to qualified teachers. My Department administers the pension scheme for primary teachers. My Department does not administer the scheme for VECs. This is administered by the individual VEC.
