Matt Carthy: Is there a concern that in that instance a child could have a more severe sentence than an adult would for the same crime given a child would be subject to the deferred sentence supervision order whereas an adult would have a suspended sentence and would ultimately be able to get on with their lives once they do not commit another crime? The child has a set of obligations put on them.
