James Lawless: I can confirm that my Department formally wrote to ASL Airlines Ireland soon after it was identified in the media reports referred to. While I do not think it appropriate to comment in detail on the content of the correspondence with one particular air operator, their response indicated that they are fully aware of their obligations under Irish law in relation to the carriage of munitions of war.
