Brendan Smith: I thank Dr. Khalaf Hunaidi. I recall that when Eamon Gilmore was Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, we discussed, on a number of occasions at this committee, the need to ban goods from the settlement areas. I am not clear in terms of my recollection. Is that totally within the competence of a member state of the European Union or is it a matter within the competence of the EU itself?
