Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport and Communications: RTE: Governance Issues (25 Mar 2015)

Timmy Dooley: I welcome the delegation and thank those who made the presentations. In her final comment,Ms Doherty, the RTE chairperson, seemed to suggest that her invitation to appear at the committee was based on a presumption of bias. She stated clearly that such oversight would simply not tolerate political bias within the country’s primary public service media organisation. I support public...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport and Communications: RTE: Governance Issues (25 Mar 2015)

When the correlation is done between an increase in deaths versus a reduced...

Topical Issue Debate: Road Safety Data (24 Mar 2015)

Timmy Dooley: The Minister will be familiar with the survey released today that demonstrates road users are more likely to lose their lives in counties where the fewest penalty points are issued.
