To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the reason when issuing the compensation under the cessation of turf compensation scheme one of the terms was that the claimant must have been cutting turf on the land in question during the previous five years of 2010 to 2015 (details supplied). Robert Troy: Okay. I want to discuss the suspension of funding by Sport Ireland. When Sport Ireland was here almost a fortnight ago there was a resistance to taking this course of action.

Robert Troy: This is not the first time that funding for the FAI was suspended. It was suspended in November 2004. We had the Genesis report but all of its key recommendation were not implemented. Does Sport Ireland accept that the FAI has shown a lack of respect for it in terms of not complying with its requirements?
