Andrew Doyle: A carbon tax will be paid if we do not reduce the amount of carbon expelled by the transport sector. People could be incentivised to produce methane gas thus reducing the carbon output. A total of €50 million is set aside every year to pay a carbon tax. Why do we not use that money to prime the sector?
