Joe Sherlock: Will the Minister tell us if Irish military spending is the lowest in the European Union? That is related to this issue. Does this not severely compromise the Government's plans for Irish participation in EU battle groups? The Minister must also consider the effect on the individual members of the Defence Forces, given the sharp drop in military spending.
