Catherine Connolly: I do not agree. A public hospital should be public. However, I am not here to express my views. I am just trying to clarify. The family have insurance and they are seen. The advantage to the hospital is that it is earning money and that is income, however small relative to its overall budget. What is the advantage for the child? Surely all children are treated the same.
