Pat Deering: I concur with Deputy Smith in regard to the importance of maintaining academic standards. We will never sort out our unemployment situation, whether in the south east or anywhere else, merely by changing the name over the door of a university. We must strive to improve standards into the future in order to achieve our objectives.
