Tá siad ag obair ar na rudaí sin. Tá Foras na Gaeilge ag ullmhú pleananna do na bailte sin. Mar sin, tá airgead curtha ar fáil do na...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Regional Development, Rural Affairs, Arts and the Gaeltacht: Estimates for Public Services 2016: Vote 33 - Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (28 Sep 2016)

Seán Kyne: D'íoc Údarás na Gaeltachta as ucht a chuid phinsin ón airgead atá acu freisin. Ní hé Foras na Gaeilge an t-aon dream atá mar sin. Ó thaobh bhuiséad Fhoras na Gaeilge, tá a fhios ag an gCathaoirleach go bhfuil comhoibriú ann idir Rialtas an Tuaiscirt agus muid féin, le briseadh síos ar bhonn 25:75. Más rud é go...

Seán Kyne: Go raibh maith agat. Sílim go bhfuil an obair déanta ar Inis Oírr agus Inis Mór faoi láthair. Chuaigh mé ar chuairt go Inis Toirc coicís ó shin agus bhí tuilte agus flash floods ansin. Tá mé sásta go mbeimid in ann breis airgid a thabhairt do Inis Toirc freisin chun é sin a réiteach.

Seán Kyne: Níl mé chun gealltanas a thabhairt don Chathaoirleach faoi bhuiséad an fhorais. Déanaim cásanna ar nós an cás seo a chur roimh an Roinn Caiteachais Phoiblí agus Athchóirithe i gcónaí. Phléigh mé le mo chomhghleacaithe anseo sa Roinn é. Ó thaobh fadhbanna laistigh den fhoras sin de, is ceist é sin do bhord an...

Written Answers — Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht: Local Authority Facilities (28 Sep 2016)

Seán Kyne: The facility to which the Deputy refers is the responsibility of Kerry County Council. My Department does not have any funding available to it at this time which could be used to assist with structural repairs to this facility. Kerry County Council could consider an application for funding to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

Written Answers — Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources: Hardship Grant Scheme (27 Sep 2016)

Seán Kyne: The Salmon Hardship Scheme was introduced following a Government decision in 2006 to permanently cease, for conservation reasons, the commercial salmon mixed stock fishery.  Under the scheme, hardship payments, averaging over €22,000, were paid to fishermen active in the commercial salmon fishery who availed of the opportunity to cease fishing and undertook not to...

Written Answers — Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources: Fishing Industry (27 Sep 2016)

Seán Kyne: I am advised that there is currently no provision in the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act 1959 or other Irish fisheries legislation to allow for a nominee to fish on a wild oyster dredge licence. Given the conservation imperative and the need to prosecute the stock responsibly and rationally, the number of licences issued annually in each district is limited to ensure that fishing activity...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Communications, Climate Change and Natural Resources: Estimates for Public Services 2016: Vote 29 - Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment (21 Sep 2016)

Seán Kyne: From 2006 to 2009 there were rounds of oil and gas exploration which did not generate a lot of interest so a new approach was taken in the 2011 round. It involved making all unlicensed acreage within the Atlantic basins available in a single licensing round and also to make data available. The data were sold commercially to provide the greatest level of information about them to spark...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Communications, Climate Change and Natural Resources: Estimates for Public Services 2016: Vote 29 - Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment (21 Sep 2016)
