Brian Stanley: On the MetroLink, the cost of the preparatory work has been discussed by the committee a number of times. It is in excess of €100 million, as I recall. Maybe the Comptroller and Auditor General can recall the spend on the MetroLink to date.

Brian Stanley: The Department had concerns. To the public or ourselves here, it is a huge sum to spend without, to put it simply, a shovel being stuck in the ground. Will there be tens of billions of euro more spent before we actually see something happening? There might be a policy position to not even go ahead with it. Is there concern around that?
