John Curran: Good morning. We have a quorum and are now in public session. The Minister need not go into that too much. He can...
- Committee on Housing and Homelessness: Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government (2 Jun 2016)
John Curran: I thank the Minister. Deputy Ó Broin raised a particular point. I know the Minister does not have responsibility for all the areas associated with homelessness, but it is hugely important that the issues which affect those people on the margins, be it children or whoever, are adequately reflected through the Cabinet sub-committee. I reiterate that all of us around this table are...

John Curran: The Minister indicated that the ambition was to build the programme up to building 25,000 houses per annum or more if possible. He said this was the beginning. We can all clearly see that there is a supply side shortage at the moment. The challenge is to ensure that over the medium period the supply and demand more or less match. Are the Department's analysis and decision-making in terms...
