Dan Boyle: What priority does the Government attach to the register of persons who are considered unsafe to work with children Bill? Its publication is still not listed. I realise there have been difficulties with the implementation of the Good Friday Agreement. However, given that guidelines exist in Northern Ireland, what is the hold-up for having such a register put in place in this country?

As the 1970 Act was introduced by a Fianna Fáil Government, I wonder what her colleagues in Government thought of this. Perhaps the Tánaiste was saying that changed times and circumstances mean we must reconsider the administration of the health services, a fact...
